Vol. I — Black Tie. A Statement Dress. A Day Full of Family || North Devon Wedding Photographer

Tom and Ahman’s wedding was one of those days that just felt right from the start. A stylish black-tie celebration here in North Devon, filled with calm moments, beautiful details and the people closest to them.

From the elegance of Ahman’s dress to the relaxed atmosphere that carried through the entire day, it was a wedding defined by quiet luxury and genuine connection.

Part I — The Details

Ahman’s dress was stunning.
Elegant, refined, and perfectly matched with the florals she chose. Everything felt thoughtful without being overdone — the kind of quiet luxury that speaks for itself.

I always enjoy these early moments, taking time to photograph the pieces that help tell the story of the day. The wedding details.

Part II — Family

There was a strong sense of family throughout the day.

One of the most special moments was Ahman’s sister walking her down the aisle. A simple gesture, but one that carried real meaning. With Tom’s brother there as well, and everyone gathered close around them, the whole day felt incredibly personal.

Part III — The Ceremony

The ceremony itself felt calm and beautifully natural.

No big rush, no pressure — just Tom and Ahman standing together surrounded by the people closest to them. These are always the moments I love most as a wedding photographer, when the emotion is honest and nothing needs to be forced.

Part IV — The Celebration

Afterwards the day opened up into celebration.

Guests filled the gardens, bubbles floated through the air, and confetti followed shortly after. There were some brilliant moments with Tom’s mum as well — really natural photographs that say so much about the closeness of their families.

Part V — A Walk Together

Later we took a quiet walk around the grounds.

Just the two of them, stepping away from the crowd for a moment. These are always some of my favourite frames of the day — natural movement, a little laughter, the veil catching the light, and the kind of moments that can’t be staged.

The whole day passed quickly, but it never felt rushed.

Tom and Ahman created a wedding that was stylish, personal, and incredibly relaxed — the kind of day where the atmosphere does most of the talking.

And those are always the weddings I enjoy photographing the most.
